Account & Data Deletion
Applies to Cine Rishta on web, Android, and iOS
You can permanently delete your Cine Rishta account and everything attached to it — your profile, portfolio, availability calendar, and photos. There are two ways to do it, depending on whether you still have the app.
1. Delete it yourself, in the mobile app
This takes effect immediately — there's no waiting period.
- Open the Cine Rishta app and sign in.
- From your Dashboard, tap the pencil icon to open Edit profile.
- Scroll to the bottom, to the Danger zone section.
- Tap Delete account, then confirm.
- If you signed up with an email and password, you'll be asked to re-enter your password to confirm it's you. Google sign-in accounts confirm automatically.
Once confirmed, your account is deleted immediately and you're signed out. This can't be undone.
This self-service option is currently available in the Cine Rishta mobile app. Using Cine Rishta on the web? Use the email request below instead.
2. Request deletion by email
Lost your phone, uninstalled the app, or can't sign in? Email cinerishta@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my account", and include:
- The full name on your profile
- The email address or phone number you registered with
- Your profile URL, if you know it (e.g. cinerishta.com/yourname)
We use these details to verify you own the account before deleting it.

4. What we keep, and why
Messages you've sent remain visible to the people you sent them to — like most messaging apps, deleting your account removes your profile but doesn't reach into someone else's conversation history. We may also retain minimal records where the law requires it or to resolve an active dispute, kept only as long as necessary.
5. How long it takes
- In-app deletion — immediate.
- Email requests — we confirm receipt within 5 business days and complete deletion within 30 days of verifying your identity.
